故事描寫：十三年前，科學家福克斯教授發現了DR6124－－控制超能力的基因。他自行合成基因，把它植入四個胚胎裡，等待未知的異能力在這些孩子進入青春期時開始顯現。不料福克斯遭到生意夥伴傑克謀害，竟未能親眼目睹自己的實驗開花結果。傑克對這些帶著超能力基因的孩子意圖不軌，準備利用他們實施自己的大計劃，幸好福克斯的弟弟弗格斯決定保護這些孩子的安全，先一步把他們藏到各處。

眼看這些孩子都已成為青少年，他們將在渾然不覺的情況下面對突然迸生的奇異能力。尼可自負而有魅力，當他發現自己擁有念力時，滿心以為財富、權力、仰慕的女孩等夢想將源源不絕而來，卻不知危機就要找上門……而其他幾名孩子分別是：有千里眼的凱蒂；有讀心術但能夠自律的狄倫；能藉意志力忍受極度肉體疼痛的愛麗西亞。弗格司能繼續讓超能少年的存在及哥哥的實驗不為世人所知嗎？
