● 內文簡介

The story begins a long, long time ago, when the land beyond the mountains was an everlasting sea of ice . . . But below the mountains, spring had finally come into a beautiful valley, where the Cave clan lived...

Nell is an orphan who has been adopted by her Cave Clan family. She loves them all, even though they are always wanting her to do chores for them, like sweeping the cave and carrying firewood. But, more than anything else, she loves her pet Cave Bear – who has lived with her since he was a tiny cub, and is the best friend a girl could have.

But now the Cave Clan are planning a long-awaited reunion with their cousins from the Sea Clan and the wise men have decided to give Cave Bear away as a gift. When Nell discovers this, she decides to run away and with Cave Bear in tow she starts following the tiny stream outside the cave which soon grows into a big river leading them far away. And so begins an unexpected adventure which will see them facing smaller and bigger dangers together and strengthening a sweet loving bond that no one will be able to break.

● 作者簡介

Martin Brown was born in Melbourne, Australia, on the proper side of the world. Ever since he can remember he's been drawing. His dad used to bring back huge sheets of paper from work and Martin would fill them with doodles and little figures. Then, quite suddenly, with food and water, he grew up, moved to the UK and found work doing what he's always wanted to do: drawing doodles and little figures.
