米拉(Mila)與兩個姊妹,以及最小的弟弟奧斯卡,一同居住在北方凍土邊境森林旁的一處美麗小鎮,然而五年前的某一天,原本四季分明的小鎮彷彿受到的詛咒一般,陷入了漫長的冬季,大地被冰雪覆蓋,湖泊也結了一層厚厚的冰,小鎮與附近的森林就像被灑上了厚厚得一層糖霜,只剩下白茫茫的一片。居民的生活越來越痛苦,大家只能不停的祈禱,希望漫長的冬季能夠趕緊結束。

某天深夜,一個神祕的男子與他的一幫手下,來到他們的木屋前,希望能夠在寒冷的冬夜裡,尋求一個短暫的棲身之所。這群人身上穿著厚重的毛皮,看上去是來自更北方的疆域。面對他們的要求,米拉雖然有些遲疑,卻仍舊決定幫助這群人。

第二天早晨這群人,依照著前一天晚上的約定,悄悄的離開了。但是米拉卻遍尋不著弟弟奧斯卡的下落。三姊妹這才發現奧斯卡竟然被那群來自北國的神秘人物給偷走了。米拉和她姊妹發誓一定要找回親愛的弟弟,即使這代表他們必須要穿過冰凍的荒野,進入一片更寒冷的大地。

然而,那群神秘人究竟為什麼要偷走奧斯卡?在這趟旅程中,米拉是否會找出讓小鎮陷入漫長冬季的原因,將春天再次帶回他們的家鄉?
