● 內文簡介

A page-turner filled with twists and surprises, featuring an ensemble cast of tweens, and a fresh setting, inspired by the reallife abandoned city of Chernobyl.

Set in a near future when a toxic bio-chemical called Waste has ravaged swathes of the world, causing animals and plants to undergo terrifying mutations, FORGOTTEN CITY tells the story of Kobi, a boy with superhuman mutations, raised by his father in the deserted and Waste-ravaged jungle of Seattle.

Kobi believes the whole world is a ruin, and humanity is all but wiped out. But Kobi has been lied to: his father is not his father, and civilization exists outside the wasteland. Kobi is the only person in the world immune to Waste, and the key to a cure. An evil pharmaceutical corporation, CLAWS, will do everything they can to track Kobi down and wipe him out.

Teaming up with a group of mutated teenagers, Kobi must go on the run—through the futuristic city of New Seattle, the scorched deserts and back to the Wasteland where his story began—to find a cure, expose CLAWS and save humanity.

FORGOTTEN CITY is an action-packed middle grade adventure in which a boy goes in search of his missing father and discovers his post-apocalyptic world, where a ruined Seattle has been made hostile by a toxic chemical called Waste, is bigger and more dangerous than he ever imagined. Michael Ford’s gripping writing brings the unique dangers of this strange place to terrifying life, while poignantly portraying the father-son relationship at the heart of the story.
