《古希臘神秘冒險》(An Ancient Greek Mystery)以古希臘時代為背景，結合宛如經典偵探小說《福爾摩斯》中的神秘案件，作者巧妙的將古希臘的宗教、藝術、神話與風俗編織進這個精采絕倫的故事當中。是一部結合歷史、推理與冒險的系列青少年小說。

《獨眼巨人的印記》(Mark of the Cyclops)為此系列的首部曲，故事講述，年輕的失意作家尼可(Nico)鬱鬱不得志，只能擔任一名抄寫員，同時為著名的詩人兼歌手亞李斯頓(Ariston)擔任助手，他的好友特雷克思(Thrax)是亞里斯頓的奴隸，是個天賦異秉、擅長解謎的男孩。雖然兩人的身分懸殊，仍舊成為無話不談的好友。

某天，尼可和特雷克思，隨同亞里斯頓外出遠行，參加一場富商為女兒福蒂尼(Fotini)舉辦的婚禮。但是婚禮的儀式，卻異常的不順利，特別是為了儀式所添置的昂貴花瓶被人惡意的損毀。富商非常的生氣，他指責花瓶一定是被一名奴隸女孩蓋雅(Gaia)打破的，並揚言將蓋雅賣給其他人。心思細膩的特雷克思撿起破碎的花瓶查看，發現花瓶上頭彷彿有著許多的奧秘。於是他央求富商給他一點時間找出打破花瓶的真兇，洗刷蓋雅的冤屈。

在尼可與特里克斯的合作下，他們很快發現花瓶上面奇特的獨眼巨人印記，其實有著特殊的意義──一群強盜集團的特殊暗號。因此打破花瓶的兇手，背後的動機或許更加的險惡！
