故事描述：一名男孩決定離開家園，獨自到遠方展開生活，他帶著簡單的行囊，以及一只裝著故鄉土壤茶杯，展開行向未知的旅程。這段漫長的海上之旅，有時天氣晴朗、萬里無雲，時而狂風暴雨、驚濤駭浪…。某天男孩的茶杯裡忽然冒出了一小株綠芽，隨著日子一天天的過去，綠芽慢慢成長茁壯，變成了一顆美麗的樹，陪伴著男孩，找到了一片怡人的土地。正當男孩失落於無人可以分享心中的喜悅時，一名女孩駕著一艘同樣長著茂盛大樹的小船，緩緩的靠岸…

 

Rebecca Young 出生成長於雪梨近郊，她的童年生活中充滿了粉筆塗鴉、滿載回憶的日記，以及滿滿的圖畫故事書。現在她則是一名熱愛工作的童書作家及出版人。

Matt Ottley出生於巴布紐幾內亞，喜歡木作、熱茶與野外生活，在在是一名定住在澳洲新南威爾斯的插畫家暨藝術家。
