Herb MacDonald has spent his life in the creative world, beginning with a drawing published at age seven. He worked as a full-time art director before founding his own designs studio, with clients across New Zealand, Australia and the USA. Winner of the 2024 Hachette Margaret Mahy Illustration Prize, Herb has also illustrated Grumble’s Bridge for Scholastic. He lives in Auckland and illustrates alongside his design work.
