Let’s draw, sing, and dance.
I can do it, so can you!

I Know How is a picture book designed for adults and children to “read and play together”, and the book is written in the traditional Taiwanese dialect. Author Higo Wu uses repetitive but varied sentences to describe three children’s most beloved activities: drawing, singing, and dancing. The scenarios incorporate many animals that children are commonly seen by children, like whales, butterflies, egrets, and monkeys. By merging the Taiwanese dialect’s adjectives and verbs, the book caption did not force rhyming, but the book's tone remained musical, making it easier to read out loud. Readers naturally become familiar with words often used in daily Taiwanese dialect through these rhythmic sentences.

Heidi Huang is a popular illustrator who provided adorable drawings that enriched this book. She does a tremendous job depicting how children look, and her unique yet refreshing illustration style often brings characters to life from the recurring animals such as cats, dogs, pigs, and geese to the adorable children. This makes reading addictive, and you would not want to drop your book.

“If you read this, the animals worldwide will be reading with you, celebrating brilliance and joys worldwide. Reading this book itself is pure high!” ——Sūn-tshong Tēnn (Author)

“Parent would ask how long does it take for their children to learn something? Please don’t rush; your child will eventually reach the age where they would say, “I will know”. Until then, don’t comment or be critical of what they did well. Simply respond with “I will know, too. Then join them to accompany and play with them!” ——Shu-Ting Chen (Writer)
