亨利喜歡穿上閃閃發光的金魚裝，不論是逛雜貨店、吃飯，還是帶他的寵物金魚萬爾德去散步。開學第一天，亨利感到焦慮不安，他很想帶萬爾德同行，但媽媽說金魚不用上學，亨利只好穿上他的金魚造型服裝。

可是魚鮨無法使用剪刀，跟同學一起做勞作；魚尾無法跟同學一樣在操場玩耍；為了聽清楚老師說故事，亨利也把魚頭套放下，一整天下來，亨利脫下了他的「保護盔甲」。

這個溫馨的故事講述了亨利克服恐懼、結交新朋友，同時又始終忠於自我的故事。
