海盜船長肩膀上豈可沒有鸚鵡？所以當企鵝遇上一位希望得一隻鸚鵡的海盜時，就有了這個關於接受和友誼的歡樂故事。

一名海盜將誤墜賊船的企鵝認為是鸚鵡，雖然羽毛顔色有點暗淡，但好歹是一隻「鳥」，只要油上一層鮮豔的顏色，任何鳥都可以坐在肩膀上並吱吱喳喳的叫著，不是嗎？因而有了連翻搞笑的航海事故。

在這個身份錯誤的公海故事中，有點古怪、善意、異常有耐心的海盜如何與一隻弄壞他的船的企鵝找到友誼？

 

Mike Allegra是一位兒童作家，著有多本書，包括《Sleepy Happy Capy Cuddles》和《Scampers Thinks Like a Scientist》等。此外，他還擔任編輯和創意寫作老師。

Jenn Harney為許多兒童讀物繪製了插圖，包括《Hornswogled!》，她自己也是一位作家。現與家人居於俄亥俄州。
