小兔子感到好無聊！哥哥姐姐們忙著做家事，朋友們也出門去採小蟲了。只有她的爺爺——大兔子先生——能陪伴小兔子，爺爺需要她當一日助手，協助完成今天的工作。小兔子大笑著：「爺爺根本就沒有工作，有什麼事情好完成的呢？」爺爺回應道：「妳何不跟著我一同出外看看呢？」

一路上，他們先是遇見了鼴鼠，可憐的鼴鼠想去拜訪重感冒的刺蝟奶奶，卻不小心卡在漆黑的隧道裡。接著小兔子和爺爺遇見了睡鼠，睡鼠爸爸也有自己的煩惱——他忙著出外採樹枝築巢，因此沒有空陪他的小寶貝們。最後一站，他們來到了松鼠的窩，松鼠媽媽本該在樹林間活躍穿梭，如今卻扭傷了腳。

在幫助了各個動物朋友後，小兔子和爺爺回到家；隔天醒來，小兔子發現爺爺留了一張清單，要他張羅各樣東西。小兔子興奮極了，她確定這些材料是要做風箏用的，然而她卻遇上了一個大驚喜…

以小兔子和爺爺的森林漫遊為主軸，讓孩童知道生活處處有人伸出援手，而簡單的付出。往往能帶來意想不到的回饋。

 

Swapna Haddow，暢銷兒童圖書作家。首部小說《Dave Pigeon》即被選為2016年《衛報》最佳新發行兒童圖書獎，並入圍2016年Sainsbury’s Children’s Book Award。Swapna目前和她的丈夫、兒子，以及一隻小雪納瑞Archie住在紐西蘭。

Alison Friend，英國童書繪者。有記憶以來，Alison就對繪畫充滿了無限熱忱。她畢業於英國諾丁漢特倫特大學現代藝術系，並擔任過三年石匠學徒，專門修復諾丁漢的歷史建築。
