Astrid Scheckels，是美國月光童書獎作品《Nic and Nellie》的作者/繪者。同時她也是《The Scallop Christmas》和《The Fish House Door》的繪者。Scheckels和母親的故鄉丹麥頗有淵源，作品中也蘊含著一絲北歐風。她形容自己的作品富含現代主義的色彩，卻又天馬行空。
