丹尼爾．皮埃爾沃特（Daniel Pinkwater），是著有100多本（而且還在不斷增加）圖書書的作者，有時甚至是插畫家，其中包括他暢銷的《大橘子》（The Big Orange Splot），該書已經銷售100萬本。他也是NPR的《萬事通》的不定期評論員，並與主持人史考特．西蒙（Scott Simon）一起閱讀特別的兒童讀物。

亞倫·雷尼爾（Aaron Renier），是位著有三本青少年圖畫小說的作者。他於2006年榮獲Eisner獎，並於2010年成為Sendak獎學金的首屆居民。他在芝加哥大學教授繪畫和漫畫。
