對挑食的小狗格蘭維爾（Granville）來說，吃一碗淡而無味的蔬菜，實在是惡夢。

儘管格蘭維爾出生自菜商和園丁家庭，但牠絕不愛吃蔬菜水果。相反，餅乾、蛋糕、冰淇淋和各式各樣的甜食才是牠的最愛。為了改掉格蘭維爾挑食的壞習慣，家人想出各種辦法誘使牠吃蔬菜，但還是徒勞無功。

爺爺的生日將近，牠最想要的禮物是能吃到格蘭維爾栽種的食物。於是格蘭維爾跟著爺爺來到農地，一起除草、挖洞，準備播種，牠異想天開地種下蛋糕、披薩和冰淇淋，並期待豐富的收成。

格蘭維爾能如願以償嗎？爺爺又能否收到牠期盼的生日禮物？最後，格蘭維爾會因此愛上蔬菜嗎？

 

Emily MacKenzie是一位自由插畫家和平面設計師，畢業於愛丁堡藝術學院（Edinburgh College of Art）。她的插畫作品主要以水彩、色鉛筆和蠟筆作畫，其創作靈感來自童年回憶、好奇心與豐富的想像力。她的作品包括榮獲2016年IBW Book Award的《Amazing Knitting Cat》、入圍Scottish BookTrust Children's Book Award的《Wanted! Ralfy Rabbit, Book Burglar》，還有《Beware ! Ralfy Rabbit and the Secret Book Biter》等。
