他們把檯燈誤解為雨傘；電池當作口紅；磁鐵當成硬幣；烤麵包機當成頭盔，小女孩逐一向他們解說電力與磁力如何提供電燈、電池能量，烤麵包機如何發熱又不會烤焦吐司，還有電力的發明和運用等。發明獵人搜羅了小女孩家裡許多東西回博物館，卻完全忽略了女孩在後園發現的恐龍化石。
