SIMON DE BURTON took delivery of (and crashed )his first motorcycle at the age of six. During the intervening thirty-five years he has owned than 150different machines and has ridden motorcycles throughout the world on road, track and trail.

Simon de Burton was formerly motorcycle road tester for the London Evening Standard, and his articles on bikes and biking also appear in the Financial Times, The Sunday Times, The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph, the Daily, Motor Cycle News and many other international publications

Based in London , Simon Burton uses a variety of elderly machines to combat the urban gridlock, including a BMW750,a Yamaha XT600, an Enfield Bullet and an MZ two-stroke. Most Sundays he can be found competing ( rarely with and success in off-road motorcycle events.
