Wendy Jelbert shows how to transform sketches into beautiful paintings. She clearly illustrates all her techniques from capturing special moments, from capturing special moments, texture and detail to creating atmosphere, drama, light and shade.

 

Wendy Jelbert studied sculpture, abstract art, pottery and printmaking at Southampton College of Art. She is a teacher and professional atrist who works in pastels, oils, acrylics, inks and watercolours, She enjoys experimenting with different ways of using mixed media and texture, and her sometimes unconventional methods produce surprising and original results.

Galleries in Southampton, London, Brighton, Cornwall and Oxford regularly exhibit her workk, and she had a number of articles prblished in the Leisure Painter magazine.

She has written numerous art books and also made six videos – on mixed media, painting gardens, line and wash and water soluble pencil.

Wendy lives near Lymington in Hampshire, and has three grown-up children, two of whom are also professional painters.
