Robert Zeller is a professional artist, illustrator and author. Originally from New Orleans, Zeller received a BFA from the Boston Museum School and Tufts University, an MFA from the New York Academy of Art. He continued his study of classical form with privately study with the sculptor Sabin Howard and spent 2 years with Jacob Collins at the Water Street Atelier.
He is the recipient of two Posey Fellowships and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. In January 2009, he founded the Teaching Studios of Art, an school devoted to teaching tractional techniques to artists of all ages and skill levels. Zeller has exhibited in Los Angeles, Houston, and Paris. In addition, he has had solo shows in NYC at 511 Gallery and Dacia.
He has studied the figure extensively and his work explores narratives related to the human form. He has been quoted or written about in several national publications regarding Teaching Studios, such as American Artist and Studios magazines. In 2014, he was the subject of a feature profile in Professional Artist Magazine.
