He has a PhD in history from London University and is a frequent contributor to the Spectator, Guardian, Mail Sunday and GQ writing on wine, travel and other subjects. Married with two sons, he lives in Brighton.

ALANWILLAMS is a Iandscape and architectural photographer who has worked extnsively in Europe and US.
