美國好萊塢導演克林．伊斯威特向來偏愛以著名歷史事件作為拍片題材，繼2014年以描述伊拉克戰爭的【美國狙擊手】（American Sniper）入圍奧斯卡最佳影片、以及敘述一樁全美航空在哈德遜河迫降成功的飛安意外的真實事件電影【薩利機長：哈德遜奇蹟】後，他下一部執導的新片將是改編自ISIS恐怖攻擊的真實事件《15:17到巴黎》（The 15:17 to Paris）。美國在去年出版這本書，至今仍是暢銷作。

這個真實事件發生在2015年8月21日，三位搭車前往巴黎的美國人──安東尼．沙德勒（Anthony Sadler）、艾力克．史卡拉托斯（Alek Skarlatos）與史賓瑟．史東（Spencer Stone）。他們是好朋友，也合著《15:17到巴黎》這本書。正當三人搭乘車班9364列車時，身為奧勒岡州國民警衛隊隊員的艾力克、退役的美國空軍史賓瑟，恰巧撞見一位配戴AK-47與炸彈的ISIS恐怖分子卡薩尼（Ayoub El Khazzani），開槍傷及列車上的乘客。三位無懼的勇者，協力制服卡薩尼，成功阻止他造成更多無辜的傷亡。

這三名美國英雄的真實故事，除了還原當時成功制止恐怖分子卡薩尼傷害計畫傷害逾五百名乘客的驚險過程外，也敘述了友情與勇氣的故事。

Anthony Sadler is a senior at Sacramento State University, majoring in Kinesiology and Athletic Training. He lives in Sacramento.

Alek Skarlatos is a Specialist in the Oregon National Guard. A former student of Umpqua Community College, he was recently a finalist on season 21 of Dancing with the Stars. He lives in Roseburg, Oregon.

Spencer Stone is a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He lives in Sacramento.
