Dr Finbarr Livesey is Lecturer in Public Policy at the Department of Politics and International Studies, University of Cambridge. Before that he spent ten years in the Engineering Department at the University of Cambridge, working on policy and economics from the perspective of companies. He has consulted for and presented papers to a number of national governments, the EU and multi-national corporations on new models of industrial policy. He has also written articles for the Guardian, the Huffington Post, The Times Higher Education and The Conversation.
His research and writing stems from his broad and mixed background. He studied physics in his home town of Cork, Ireland before completing a Masters degree in computer science at Cambridge, a Masters in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and a PhD at Cambridge. De-Globalisation is his first book.
