Min Kym, south Korean-born and raised in the UK, began playing the violin at the age of six. A year later, she was accepted as a scholar at the Purcell School of Music on a full scholarship with the distinction of being the school’s youngest-ever pupil. Min’s first CD of Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole with the London Symphony Orchestra was released in 2001 to critical acclaim. Min is a founder member of a piano trio that made its UK debut in November 2010. She is a goodwill ambassador for the city of Seoul.
