國際空間站：是一項由六個太空機構，共16個國家聯合推進的國際合作計劃，是一個運行於距離地面400公里的地球軌道上的科研設施，主要功能是作為在微重力環境下的研究實驗室。國際空間站設想是1983年由美國總統雷根首先提出，經過近十年的探索和多次重新設計，直至蘇聯解體，俄羅斯加盟，國際空間站才於1993年完成設計，正式開始建造。

Ron Garan，美國空軍退役上校，屢獲殊榮的戰鬥機飛行員、宇航員和企業家。他在太空生活了178天，繞地球飛行了7100萬英里。他是非營利性社會企業manna Energy Ltd的創始人，與美國國際開發署積極合作。他也是FragileOasis.org行動的創始人，致力於用「太空視角」激勵人們開展環保行動。
