● 內文簡介

In the run-up to the invasion Iraq, Scott Ritter was one of the public figures courageous enough to challenge the lies spread by the bush administration and the mainstream media concerning Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. In the debacle in Iraq, Ritter has been vindicated- but now the White House and its neoconservative allies are raising the alarm about Ina's new president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who frequently attacks Israel and the West in his speeches and has claimed that the Holocaust is a myth.

Target Iran is Ritter's “national intelligence assessment “ of the Iranian imbroglio. Ritter, who was a UN weapons inspector in Iraq the 1990s, examines the Bush administration's regime-change policy and the potntial of Iran to threaten US national security interests. Ritter writes: “I know most of the players of this game, whether they be diplomats in Europe, spies in Israel, or inspectors in the United States. I have spent hours discussing the issue of Iran and its nuclear program with these experts, and have come to the conclusion that, in the issue of Iran, we are seeing history repeat itself. I am struck by the similarity between how the United States, Israel, Europs, Russia ,and the United Nations stumbled their collective way toward war in Irag based upon a false premise(i. e., the existence of WMD in Irq3), and what is transpiring vis-a-vis-vis Iran today,”
