★《誰偷走了我們的財富?》書迷不容錯過

An incisive study of how to fix delays and failures in big projects, by the critically acclaimed author of The Unaccountability Machine

It seems like we just can’t anything done anymore. Big projects are completed years late and billions over budget – if they’re ever completed. The rules create as many blockages as solutions. Public spending goes into someone’s pocket, but it’s rarely well-spent. But when we look closely at big organizations and system, we can see why: it’s somebody’s job to create problems.

In The Problem Factory, economist and systems expert Dan Davies uncovers the truth behind organizational sclerosis. He investigates consultants paid by the hour to delay projects and stakeholders incentivized to balloon costs, weighing up the values and pitfalls of AI and deregulation to trim the fat and speed things along. With razor-sharp insight and innovative strategic thinking, Davies shows how we can rethink our broken system – and lays out a roadmap for a better, fairer and more flexible way forward.
