● 內文簡介

Delve into this insightful look at the culture and traditions of Muslim people around the globe.

We are living in a time of unrest for and intolerance of immigrants around the globe and in Western culture in particular. Enter Muslims of the World, a book based on the popular Instagram of the same name. Like the Instagram account, the book’s mission statement is to tell true stories of Muslims living in the U.S. and around the world and to show that gross misrepresentations about Muslim people are nothing more than propaganda. The book will feature seventy-five entries telling tales of friendship, love, family, and faith, paired with photographs. Whether it’s a story about a young girl in Syria who longs for the school she used to attend, or a grieving widow was who was married for less than a year and has now turned to her religion to carry her through the darkest time in her life, the tie that binds the people in this book – and nearly two billion people around the world – is their Muslim faith.

The book also seeks to educate readers about Islam and where its traditions come from. Each chapter will be organized by theme to focus on different aspects of Muslim culture. Chapters include Women Rule, Hijab, Kindness, Marriage, and more. Muslims of the World aims to help bring people of all cultures and faiths together by sharing some of the plights, hopes, trials, and tribulations of Muslim people from every walk of life.
