L. J. Shepherd is a writer and a Human Rights barrister instructed in high-profile public inquiries. After graduating from Christ Church, Oxford, with a degree in English Literature, she pursued a career in law. Laura began practicing as a barrister in 2017. Since then, Laura has prosecuted and defended in many jury trials in the Crown Court. She lives in Cardiff with her rescue cat, Coral. One of Your Number is her second novel.
